One of our early exhibitions, held in 2017, was of the past Mayors of Darwen. The portraits we had on show were copies of the original portraits that are kept in the basement of Blackburn museum.

One of our most moving exhibitions was in November 2018 when we had the WW1 Centenary Exhibition. It was held in the Front Exhibition room and had a poppy tribute that contained 1302 knitted poppies representing those that didn’t return.

Sean Taylor – King held his University Finals Exhibition in April 2018 in our Front Exhibition Room.

Our latest exhibition, shown here on our members preview evening in March 2020, is ‘A Century of Darwen Weddings’. Lots of photographs and wedding memorabilia from 1904 to 2006 are on display and everyone at the preview evening found the displays interesting with many familiar names and faces in the photographs.
